This past Saturday in Dalton,Ga was the scene of cool cars , pretty models and live music . A 1st annual show presented by Cruzin'nStyle named "Time2Shine" hosted by Brittany Lopez . As the pro quality flyer read...contest, trophies, live performances, raffles and bikini contest , I knew it wasn't one to miss , so the stang was fueled up and shifting gears early Saturday morning.
This show caught your attention right at the entrance , as you pay to get in your view is down the center of the show. Cars on the left and right with music hitting your ears...it had atmosphere from the start . As I pulled my camera out and started my walk around to get a feel of the show I was impressed with the diverse amount of rides , I stopped beside a Bentley and looked out to see Imports , Muscle cars , Lowriders , Mini trucks and even a 1931 Model A . Now that was just the static appeal of the show (guess I'll find out if my girl reads this lol) but there was pretty models walking around too , happy to pose all pro near a choice ride and let ya snap some pic's, all while the speakers up front (DJ Pako -DJ Sumo-DJ Meatball) pushed out some tunes that reached to the back of the lot ! I have to say , the show had plenty of flavor !
Once the show was rolling and getting midway it was turned up another notch with live performances . And a shout out goes to Mark Strickland aka Strick , one of my good friends from back in my Sk-8-boarding days, that I haven't seen in years, nice touch jumping on the speaker man haha ! But the mic was owned by many out there , and the list - Strick (below pic), G Kickdoor (below pic) , ROB , Kirby , Strata-G , SarahSarah (below pic), Solow G(below pic) , and had a few laughs hearing "Beware of the fat guys". But all in all the performances was a nice touch and I was impressed with the talent ! Oh...can't forget the car limbo that drew a big crowd around , shoulder to shoulder everyone had a close eye on the bar and a few laughs at the fella hanging out of the door to make sure all was clear lol . And another contest...one of those where you just had to be there , was the bikini contest . Figured it was going to be a stand and pose type...then the music hit and the dance off began haha ...it was a battle of 6 rounds with the win going to Laticia Taylor .

Awesome Fun Time
The date was May 12th , Paradise Dragstrip was once again packed out due to the awesome show BB Brown and the North Georgia Hot Rods had on top of the Ol' hill. Like always the entrance was full with determined swap meet vendors at 7am, and stayed flowing almost all day with spectators ,racers and mean rides.
It was nice to see Bunky Bobo and crew pulled the Hemi Hurricane from the Motorsports Hall of Fame & Museum back up to the show ! If you Google his name you might run up on many cool stories as I did haha.
But the track looked so cool with Coupes and Rat rods running heads-up all day long , I kept my wide angle lens on most of the time so I could catch the action coming out of both lanes. Which had me so busy I forgot to get any burnout shots haha , but I'm cool with it , I'm just glad I was able to be there and capture this cool event!
The next Show-N-Go should be in July then Oct. , keep an eye on the forum at www.paradisedragstrip.net or better yet the Paradise FaceBook page. But the crew usually tries to have it on the first Saturday of the month.
Now...in case you already viewed the pic's from my gallery , I did some fun editing to the ones posted here...from HDR Touch (brings out details in the dark to light tones) to Old Skool Touch (make'em look vintage) just so you have something fresh to see,and not the same ol images from my site, which are straight from the camera and unedited anyhow.

ColePhoto Sponsorship
Yes... I finally decided to open my business/website up to some sponsorship . I figure with the type traffic I pull in , any automotive related business will benefit from advertisement on site. Like any hobby or way of life my photography keeps progressing and so does the cost of moving up and improving . I figure money from sponsors will help me attain the upgraded gear I need and to help fund long trips to events ,which will also result in more traffic/views for my sponsors,it's a win-win situation that can grow to something real big !
So if anyone out there is interested in sponsoring ColePhoto visit the link below to read up on all the details on my sponsorship info page I made. Even if you don't have a website, I offer (package 2) to create a custom page for you with info, pic's and video display. So please check it out and feel free to contact me with any questions about sponsorship.

Hot Rods , Muscle cars and Daughters ...
Although my life consist of the usual gear-head automotive love I was stoked to see it interest my daughter Shelby as she made her way out while I rotated the tires on the Mustang . From the very start of the job she helped as I pulled my hydraulic jack around the garage, she ran up to lend a hand and guide it to the car.
I have to say I kept a smile on my face the whole time (even though one of my awesome...lame... polished lug nuts failed to come off) while she grab wrenches and sockets and did her best to mock daddy.
It was just another one of those new moments in life of being a dad and experiencing something unexpected.
I was proud to work beside her as we both got our hands dirty. But as I anticipated , she still has a little learning to do on tools... as I worked on the front wheel I heard a couple (3) metallic thumps on the body, I quickly looked over and witnessed her with my brass hammer on my perfectly fine quarter panel !!! Whew...talk about worries , but all was okay as she didn't put any damage to the paint, luck was on my side lol . I'm happy to have spent such a cool day with my lil' hotrod !
